Telecom Council members, telco tech scouts, telecom vendors and investors review innovation coming from 5G network upgrades - including the applications, services, and case studies putting 5G to work. Join our tech scouts from telcos, tech companies, vendors, and investors to discover innovation AND meet startups who are building apps and services leveraging 5G capabilities.
5G remains one of the hot topics in telecom, and as the technology advances in the real world, we are increasingly interested in its practical applications. Part of the challenge of 5G is that 4G LTE is so good that it is hard to imagine novel applications which will be enabled by 5G. But, if our experience with the “Gs” has taught us anything, it’s that as network operators offer new capabilities, innovators surely find ways to build value on that platform.
No longer a theoretical discussion, at this meeting, we’re going to look at the practical applications of 5G. What kinds of changes have we seen in devices, in solutions, in enterprise customers, and in services & apps, as a result of Applied 5G. To kick it off, we expect to cover:

- Network slicing
- Gaming
- More & faster broadband
- IoT
- Cities & infrastructure
- Remote control / manufacturing
- More remote broadcast video / live streams
- AI / Robot connectivity
- Agriculture
- Distributed computing clusters / Edge / cloud
- Logistics
- VR/AR/xR/Web3
…and we’ll integrate other ideas that we learn at MWC into the meeting’s content.
There are now many 5G networks around the world, and the real-world case studies are piling up. While the 5G coverage is nowhere close to ubiquitous (yet), early adopters are selling solutions that will become the unicorns of the next 5 years. Join our Applied 5G meeting to discuss, and hear from the people already at the big game.
