MATCHMAKER SERVICE FOR MEETINGS & INTRODUCTIONS

Telecom Council's Matchmaker Meeting Service facilitates personal introductions via pre-arranged, private, 15-minute meetings both in person and virtually after select meetings.  The result is a series of meaningful introductions over concise, private meetings in a short time among delegates committed to technology discovery and partnership development.

MatchMaker delegates set their profiles and meeting preferences in advance, and use the MatchMaker to pitch, accept, schedule, assign, or decline meetings with other people who have signed up. Meetings run 15 minutes onsite, can run longer online, and can include multiple representatives from each company around a table or in a virtual meeting room.

Delegates benefit from a series of meaningful introductions over concise, private meetings in a short time. For 2 weeks before Telecom Talks, MatchMaker delegates have the option of browsing the list of delegates and deciding who they'd like to meet in person or online.

  • April 9, 4:30 to 6:30 pm onsite in Silicon Valley
  • April 10, anytime online via zoom

OUR MATCHMAKER ACTUALLY WORKS!

Every year, delegates who use our MatchMaker get more introductions and higher quality conversations than they expected. 

  • Participants averaged 7 MatchMaker meetings at our annual meeting in 2024.
  • The most successful startup from that meeting was a Series A, AIOps startup with 11 meetings. 
  • Our carriers took 122 meetings collectively, with Deutsche Telekom, Swisscom, T-Mobile and Tata Communications meeting with more than 15 companies each through the MatchMaker.

GETTING STARTED

MatchMaker delegates get access to the portal in March to manage their profiles and meetings. 

  • MatchMaking takes place online over 2 weeks before the meeting day, with the majority of meetings scheduled the week before. Companies can field multiple delegates, request a specific meeting time, and requests may be accepted, declined, rescheduled or waitlisted, dependent on your individual goals.

HOW IT WORKS

Decide your target, craft your outreach, and our team will help you secure the meetings you need.

Browse the delegate list and discover what delegates are looking for or what they have to offer, then make your best pitch. Craft different pitches for different attendees and allow the system to automatically select a mutually convenient time and place to meet - whether a physical table or a video link. With built-in messaging available before and after MatchMaker events, face-to-face meetings cut straight to the chase.

  • The meeting agenda includes 90 minutes dedicated to private MatchMaker meetings,
  • Expect several back-to-back, 15-minute meetings over 2 days.
  • MatchMaking takes place in our portal with the majority of meetings scheduled the week before.
  • Include extra people from your company to move the conversation forward more quickly
  • Use the MatchMaker portal to search, request, accept, schedule, assign, or decline meetings based on your priorities and who you want to meet.
