Cybersecurity is on the critical path for every new product and service with the potential attack surface growing rapidly. Mitigating these risks is a top priority for all IoT stakeholders. Join our tech scouts from telcos, tech companies, industrial vendors, system integrators and IoT investors to discover innovation AND the startups who are protecting the IoT.
Continuing our series of successful virtual meetings, the IoT Forum will convene to look at innovation and startups working on IoT Security. Cybersecurity is on the critical path for every new product and service that has presented to IoT Forum members, and rightly so. IoT creates an astonishingly broad attack surface, and research has shown that Black Hat actors are aggressively probing for weakness. Kaspersky reported that their honeypots had tallied 105 million attacks in the first half of 2019 alone.
And while Industrial IoT has seen the most reliable growth, the steady progress of IoT into consumers' hands, where price is often more important than security, has increased the danger. Worse, those compromised consumer devices can then be organized into botnets to attack better-defended critical systems.
In the program, we’re going to learn about, and hear from startups at the cutting edge innovation in IoT security, including:
- The attack vectors
- Device-level security
- Security in the Cloud
- End-to-end solutions
- AI and analytics to detect breeches
- The role of Blockchain
